Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 6, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how QRCraft (“we”, “us”, or
“our”) handles information when you use this website and the associated QR tools.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password hash. We use this information to create and secure your account, send essential service messages, and operate the Service.
1.2. Static QR usage
When you use the public static QR generator, the URL you enter is processed on the server to generate the QR image. We do not store static URLs in our QR database, but they may appear in standard web server logs together with your IP address and user-agent.
1.3. Dynamic QR links & scans
For dynamic QR codes and short links created under your account, we store:
- The short slug (for example,
/go/spring-flyer). - The destination URL that you configure.
- Basic metadata such as scan counts and timestamps.
When a dynamic QR or short link is scanned, we may log:
- The time of the request.
- A hashed representation of the requester’s IP address.
- The user-agent string sent by the browser or device.
- The HTTP referrer, if provided.
We use this information to provide aggregate analytics, detect abuse, and keep the Service running reliably. We do not attempt to directly identify individual end-users from this data.
2. Cookies, Local Storage & Preferences
QRCraft may use cookies or local browser storage to remember basic preferences, such as your chosen light/dark theme, and to maintain your logged-in session. These mechanisms are not used for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the QRCraft Service.
- Provide QR generation, dynamic redirect, and basic analytics features.
- Protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
- Communicate with you about important updates or security notices.
4. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may use infrastructure or hosting providers to operate the Service; these providers may process technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of delivering the Service, subject to their own privacy and security practices.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of QRCraft, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
Account information is retained while your account is active. Scan-level data and server logs may be retained for a period of time that is reasonable for analytics, troubleshooting, and security, after which it may be aggregated, anonymized, or deleted.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information processed through the Service. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and you are responsible for keeping your password and account details safe.

QRCraft is intended for use by adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that we have collected such information, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it if appropriate.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date above or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
